Call for Photos: The 1st Human Rights International Photo Contest

Human Rights Support Org. Corp. (HRS Org) would like to invite photo submissions (of up to five photos per photographer) for “The First Human Rights International Photo Contest”.

The major theme for this contest is “Human Rights: Grim Present, Hopeful Future!”

The Applicants (photographers) may want to observe and illustrate the human right of their choice and the violations thereof. However, they are highly encouraged to illustrate solutions that spark light into future paths to tackling/eradicating the issue(s) and/or show the hopeful horizons at sight for a promising future for mankind.

Human Rights Support Org. Corp. is a duly incorporated entity according to the laws of ON, Canada, Registration No.: 002657211, and is focused on promoting human rights and educating people on these rights. For more information, please click here.

The photos will be reviewed by a Committee of experts in the industry shortly after the closing date (the members will be announced in the future). A $200, $100 and $50 CAD cash award and the HRS Org’s Human Rights Support Award (Carved Tablet) will be awarded respectively to the photos that would rank the first to three based on the panel of judges’ selection.

Rules & Regulations

  1. There is no fee for participating in the contest. It is completely free.
  2. Photos available on the internet are not eligible.
  3. The photo format can be one of the following: …..
  4. Two copies must be submitted: one the original high quality and one with an optimized size and format for web posting.
  5. Photos can be submitted from all countries.
  6. One photographer’s mug shot is encouraged to be submitted along with the photos. This is not mandatory.
  7. Each Applicant is allowed to submit up to five photos to the contest.

 

NB: The copyright of the photos will continue to be owned by their respective photographers/owners. However, all photographers/owners of the submitted photos hereby grant Human Rights Support Org. Corp. the non-exclusive unconditional right to upload any of the photos, at HRS Org’s discretion, on the HRS Org’s website, and its social media network free of charge.
